4 Months!

Luke turned 4 months on Thursday! He's getting chunkier by the day & now weighs in at a hefty 15 pounds! Amazingly he is only in the 50th percentile for his weight.  This past month we have seen more of his personality come out-he is such a happy baby & smiles at everyone.  New things for him this month are sleeping on his stomach (I lost LOTS of sleep the first few nights he did this, paranoid that he would stop breathing!), sucking his thumb,  holding toys and being more interested in playing with them, and full head/neck control.  It's amazing how a baby changes so much in one short month. Heart Check

There's a blog I've been following for about a year now.  It's a young woman in her early 20's who moved to Africa to love & serve the people there.  Over the course of a few years she has adopted FOURTEEN children.  Her story is amazing and her heart is something I so admire.  Whenever I get caught up in life & forget my purpose- to serve & love God & others- I go to her blog.  I am HUMBLED every time I read it.  I  am CHALLENGED to love God & BE JESUS to those around me. (I don't always do a great job at this though!) I truly believe the heart of Christianity is simply showing people WHO JESUS IS.  He is merciful, gracious, compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love.
